About Me
My style is contemporary and journalistic. I prefer photos that are not over-posed and that show personality. I have lots of ideas and would be happy to hear yours. My goal is not to just make photos that look “pretty” but to also capture that spark that makes each of us unique and wonderful.
Locations
I shoot on-location, natural light photos only. Here are a few ideas:
- City or State parks
- Beach
- Your backyard
- MN Arboretum
- Downtown/ St. Anthony Main
- Indoors, as long as there is plenty of natural light
Locations included in session fee must be within 20 mile radius of Victoria, MN. There is an extra fee to travel outside this area.
Clothing
Clothing is an important part of your photo session. Keep it simple and true to who you are. Choosing trendy colors and patterns creates a fun contemporary feel. Classic colors and styles can create a more traditional look. Avoid big logos, cartoon characters and multi-patterned attire. If it is a sibling or family session, try to keep a similar theme to your outfit choices, using coordinating colors and styles. Feel free to bring multiple clothing options and accessories to layer. Jackets, scarves, hats, fun shoes or rain boots are just a few ideas. Newborns are the exception here. Less is more with them. A soft blanket and bare feet look best.
